Redaktionelle Richtlinien

This Editorial Policy sets out the standards, processes and principles that govern all content published by Sachspur (sachspur.de). It applies to every article, analysis, opinion piece and sponsored feature on the site. Readers can rely on this document as a binding framework for how we produce journalism and manage our editorial independence.

Who is responsible for editorial standards at Sachspur?

Benjamin Krämer, as Chefredaktör (Editor-in-Chief), holds ultimate responsibility for all editorial content, publication decisions and corrections at Sachspur. He is supported by a dedicated team and reports to the publisher, Sachspur Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with its registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. The editorial line is independent of commercial and ownership interests. For full details on ownership and funding, see our ownership and funding page.

The editorial team works under the direct oversight of the Chefredaktör and the Redaktionschef (Editor-in-Chief of the newsroom), Stefanie Schulte. Neither the company’s directors nor any external advertiser or partner may dictate editorial conclusions. This separation is enforced contractually and through our internal governance.

How does Sachspur distinguish between news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?

Every piece of content on Sachspur is clearly labelled by type so that readers can immediately understand its nature and intent. News articles report facts without commentary. Opinion pieces express the views of a named author or the editorial board. Features provide in-depth analysis. Sponsored content is explicitly marked with a disclosure. Affiliate links are identified in the article text.

Sponsored or commercial material carries a label such as “sponsored” or “in partnership with” and is never written by our editorial team without a clear demarcation. Affiliate links are accompanied by a short statement explaining that Sachspur may earn a commission. These practices are detailed in our advertising and affiliate disclosure and our sponsored content policy. No commercial relationship influences the editorial treatment of any topic.

What is Sachspur’s editorial process?

Every article at Sachspur is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. This three-stage process ensures accuracy, clarity and accountability. The editorial mission is to deliver trustworthy Swedish journalism that helps readers understand complex issues without spin or oversimplification.

Breaking news and time-sensitive stories may be published with a note indicating ongoing verification; such pieces are updated as facts become confirmed. All corrections are handled according to our corrections policy. The fact-checking team, led by Vanessa Frank (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), verifies sources, quotes and data before any story goes live.

How does Sachspur ensure article-level transparency?

Each article on Sachspur includes the name of the writer, the editor who reviewed it, the date of publication and a note on any updates or corrections. If a piece relies on automated tools during research or drafting, that is disclosed in a separate section at the bottom of the article.

We also provide direct contact details for our editorial team: readers can reach the Chefredaktör at anders.lindqvist@sachspur.de or by phone at +46 8 525 030 61. The fact-checking team can be contacted at emma.sandberg@sachspur.de. This transparency extends to our sources; we maintain a sources and standards page that explains how we gather and attribute information.

How does Sachspur disclose the use of AI?

Sachspur may use AI-assisted tools to support research, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summaries and transcription. However, no automated system replaces human editorial judgement. Every piece of published content is reviewed and approved by a human editor.

AI must never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Any article that incorporates AI-generated material is labelled with a standard disclosure at the foot of the text. The full policy is available on our AI and automation policy page.

How does Sachspur handle attribution and named writers?

All articles on Sachspur are credited to a named journalist. Opinion pieces and analyses also include an author bio. The editorial team is listed with contact details on our team page. Writers are responsible for the accuracy of their contributions; editors review every piece before publication.

When a story is written collaboratively, all contributors are named. Anonymous sources are used only in exceptional cases where the information is vital and the source’s safety or livelihood would be endangered. The reason for anonymity is explained in the article itself.

What is Sachspur’s complaints route?

Readers who wish to raise a concern about accuracy, fairness, labelling or editorial conduct should contact the complaints team at complaints@sachspur.de. The Chefredaktör, Benjamin Krämer, oversees all complaints and ensures a response within five working days.

Our detailed complaints procedure explains the stages of review, the escalation process and how complainants can request a correction or a published clarification. All complaints are treated confidentially and investigated independently of commercial interests.
