Sachspur Media Ltd., registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), owns and operates Sachspur (sachspur.de), an independent Swedish digital news publisher. The company’s registered office is Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000, and the main phone is +356 2138 9009. Benjamin Krämer serves as Chefredaktör (anders.lindqvist@sachspur.de, +46 8 525 030 61), responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections.
Who is responsible for corrections at Sachspur?
Vanessa Frank, Ansvarig för faktagranskning, leads the standards desk that handles all correction requests (emma.sandberg@sachspur.de, +46 8 525 030 66). She oversees fact-checking, source verification and the formal corrections process. Every correction is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication.
The standards desk works independently from the newsroom to ensure impartiality. Benjamin Krämer, Chefredaktör, is the final escalation point for unresolved or serious correction matters. Sachspur’s full editorial structure is detailed on the Our Team page.
How do I report an error?
Readers can report errors directly to corrections@sachspur.de. Please include the article headline, the URL, a clear description of the alleged error and any supporting evidence (screenshots, sources, timestamps). You may also use the general contact address info@sachspur.de for initial reports, but the corrections team monitors the dedicated address more closely.
If you prefer not to write in English or Swedish, you may submit a correction in German; the team will respond in the same language. All reports are acknowledged within one business day. Anonymous reports are accepted but may be harder to verify.
What happens after a correction is reported?
The standards desk under Vanessa Frank assesses every report promptly. If a material error is confirmed – factual inaccuracy, misattribution, omission that affects understanding, or misleading framing – the article is updated and a correction note is appended at the bottom of the page. The note states what was wrong, when it was corrected and whether the error was introduced by Sachspur or by a third party (e.g., an official source).
Minor errors such as typographical mistakes, formatting glitches or date/time zone inaccuracies are fixed without a note, unless the reader requests one. The team will inform the reporter of the outcome by email. Our Fact‑Checking Policy explains how we verify content before publication and after errors are flagged.
What if I am not satisfied with the response?
If a reporter believes the correction was insufficient or that an error was not addressed fairly, they may escalate to Benjamin Krämer at anders.lindqvist@sachspur.de. The Chefredaktör reviews the case personally and issues a final decision within five business days. If the reporter still wishes to pursue the matter, they may use the Complaints Procedure, which outlines steps for external review.
Sachspur’s Editorial Policy commits to transparent, evidence-based journalism. Any significant correction that could affect a reader’s understanding of an article is also flagged on the article’s metadata and, where appropriate, in the newsletter.
How does Sachspur ensure transparency around corrections?
All correction notes include a timestamp and a link to the original version if archived. The standards desk maintains an internal log of all substantiated corrections, which is available to the Chefredaktör upon request. Readers can request a summary of recent corrections by emailing factcheck@sachspur.de.
Sachspur distinguishes between corrections (errors we made), clarifications (additional context that does not change the article’s meaning) and retractions (articles that should not have been published). Retractions are rare and always accompanied by a detailed explanation. Our Sources & Standards page describes how we source and verify information.
Our commitments
- We correct material errors promptly, openly and with a clear note on the affected article.
- We respond to every correction report within one business day and aim to resolve it within three business days.
- We hold our editorial team accountable: each error is reviewed by the standards desk and, if systemic, leads to process improvements.
- We disclose all corrections, clarifications and retractions in a way that allows readers to see what changed and why.
- We never delete a corrected article without a public explanation; retractions are documented permanently.
