How may AI tools support our editorial work?
AI and automation tools may be used by Sachspur staff only as aids to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility – never to replace human reporting or judgement. Every piece of content that is published – whether an article, analysis, or brief – is reviewed and approved by a human editor before going live. AI-assisted tools must never be employed to fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience, or expert profiles. The editorial team retains full control over the final version of each story.
What is strictly prohibited?
Sachspur prohibits any use of AI or automation that would mislead readers or compromise the integrity of our journalism. The following are expressly forbidden: generating quotes or attributing statements to real people without verification; creating or altering sources, citations, or interview transcripts; impersonating named authors or creating fictional bylines; inventing expert profiles or biographical details; and allowing AI to determine editorial conclusions, story selection, or publication priority without human sign-off. Any sponsored or commercial content produced with AI assistance must be clearly labelled, and affiliate links must be disclosed in line with our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure Policy. These prohibitions are enforced by the editor-in-chief and the fact-checking team led by Vanessa Frank.
How do we ensure transparency and accountability?
